Get your Black Excellence Awards tickets! On October 28th, the evening begins with the Black Arts Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 5:00 PM, followed by a reception at 6:30 PM at GAR Hall and then the Black Excellence Awards at 7:30 PM in the Claudia Cassidy Theater. We are excited to announce that Chicago's own Lawrence "Binkey" Tolefree will host the Black Arts Hall of Fame and the Black Excellence Awards will be hosted by Angel Idowu, arts correspondent for WTTW's Chicago Tonight!

The Black Arts & Culture Alliance of Chicago (BACA) is gearing up for Black Arts Month, which will take place in October. The goal of Black Arts Month is to center Black artists in Chicago and their contributions to the arts and cultural sector in the city and all over the world.
